· Generally, all orders will be sent via  Royal Mail or Parcelforce on a tracked 24-48 Hour Service – this means 24 to 48 hours from the date of dispatch and not the date of order. (Restricted to UK Mainland only, other areas are on 3-5 day service).  Orders dispatched on Fridays will be delivered on the following Monday/Tuesday unless additional cost of Saturday delivery has been agreed.

· If you wish you can leave special delivery instructions when you go through the checkout process, for example, Signature required. If you do not leave any special instructions and you haven’t opted out online, a safe place can be identified by the courier, where “Proof of delivery” image will be sent to you via email, the courier will also post a card informing you of their decision. After we receive POD this is deemed ” a perfect delivery” and we will not accept responsibility from that point on. If you request that goods are left in a certain safe place ie. “…leave package at back door..” – this is at your own risk and if there is any suspicion of theft we would need a police incident number before progressing any further.

· Please carefully check the package for damage, tampering or shortages before signing the delivery note. We cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss in transit if you have signed for the goods.

– Delivery for small orders less than £25 will be sent in the post at a reduced rate of £4.95 to cover packing and admin costs. Small parcels such as these will be sent by 2nd Class Royal Mail.

– All other orders will be sent by Royal Mail or Parcelforce,  unless your order is coming direct from a manufacturer using their own choice of courier.

– For international deliveries, the customer is fully responsible for any import duties incurred.

All orders over 1m in length – £34.95 (Via Royal Mail or Parcelforce) – Excludes International – see below.

  • Portman Doorkits may be subject to additional delivery charges, this will vary depending on wight and dimensions.*
  • Mandelli 1953 products may be subject to an international Import charge, this will be calculated after checkout where additional payment will be arranged .*

International Delivery – Will show as £0.00  – Please select this option and we will get in touch to confirm delivery charge – see guide prices below for International deliveries. Please note that ALL international deliveries are chargeable and will be calculated at point of dispatch – we will then notify you of the delivery charge and once paid your order will be dispatched.

DELIVERY TIMESCALES

· We carry stock of many products and these are dispatched either on the same day or on the following day. However, at Colquhoun’s we offer a huge choice of specially manufactured products and for this reason cannot always dispatch from stock. Please check with us prior to placing an order if you are in a rush for something as many products are made to order.

The estimated lead time for products ordered from the bellow suppliers are as follows:

Imperial Locks: 2-4 weeks

Croft: 4-5 weeks

Royde & Tucker/ Portman: 2-4 weeks

Mandelli 1953: 4-6 weeks

Karcher Design: 1-2 weeks

Buster + Punch: 1-2 weeks

Refund Policy on Bespoke Products. 

-Once bespoke orders have been placed, it is important to note that we are unable to offer a refund option. This policy stems from the nature of bespoke orders, which are customized and tailored specifically to the customer’s preferences and specifications. As soon as an order is confirmed, it is promptly forwarded to our trusted manufacturers to initiate production.

This immediate action is crucial to ensure that the product meets the exacting standards and unique requirements outlined by our clients. Due to the personalized nature of these orders and the direct initiation of production, it becomes exceedingly difficult to halt or modify the process once it has commenced.
Due to this, we encourage our valued customers to review their bespoke order details carefully before submission to ensure complete satisfaction with their tailor-made purchase.

-If your order contains a mix of products they will be dispatched together in one consignment. The dispatch date will be determined by the product with the longest delivery schedule. When you place your order we will notify you by email of the expected lead time.
-We dispatch orders on weekdays only, excluding UK bank holidays. If you have placed your order online, you will receive an automated email when you place your order. Then, when your order is dispatched, you can expect an email providing you with dispatch information.

UNSUCCESSFUL DELIVERY

If we have dispatched your order and our couriers have attempted delivery without success, perhaps due to nobody being at the delivery address, they will leave a card explaining how and where you can arrange to collect your order.
